Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua
Team members will be actively involved in the local community in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua through Orphanage, Medical, and Construction ministry.
Construction Team - Working side-by-side with Nicaraguans we help build simple, high quality and desperately needed structures including school classrooms, homes, churches, medical locations, and other mission-related structures. Projects typically are completed in 3-4 full days and depend upon pre-planning and pre-construction. These trips require the time, talent, and expertise to make the mission a success for all. Team trip costs include some monies for the specific project(s) and equipment donations (which can be portable) are needed in advance of the trip. Team members will also support the Verbo Church with construction projects and various outreach ministries in the area. The specific project for this trip will be determined and announced in November 2016.
Children’s Ministry Team - The team will go to the Verbo Orphanage in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. CFC and its members provide on-going support for this orphanage. Team Members will spend time with the orphans engaging in various activities including Bible studies, crafts, games, sports and field trips to the beach/river. They will also working with the children in the nearby community of Caminante at the Verbo feeding center.
Medical Team - This trip will focus on continuing education for the health workers in Caminante. There could be a small component of painting and minor handiwork opportunity. Fellowship, continuing education, Christ based leadership, and communication with confidence are areas of focus. This particular team will be limited to 5-7 medically trained persons.
